Strategic Partnership with Global Mining Corporation to Develop Heavy-Duty Conveyor Solutions

The company has entered into a five-year strategic partnership agreement with BHP, one of the world’s largest mining corporations, to develop and supply next-generation heavy-duty conveyor chains for bulk material handling applications. The partnership, valued at an estimated $45 million, will focus on designing chains capable of withstanding the extreme conditions found in iron ore, copper, and coal mining operations, including high impact loads, severe abrasion, and corrosive chemical environments. Under the agreement, the company will establish a dedicated engineering team at BHP’s mining operations in Western Australia to conduct on-site research and testing. The first phase of the project involves the development of a new drop-forged chain series specifically engineered for overland conveyors carrying crushed ore over distances exceeding 10 kilometers. These chains will incorporate hardened alloy steels, advanced surface treatments, and a modular design that simplifies field maintenance and reduces conveyor downtime. “This partnership represents a significant milestone in our strategy to expand into the mining sector,” commented Robert Thornton, Senior Vice President of Industrial Solutions. “BHP is renowned for its operational excellence and rigorous performance standards. BHP expects the new conveyor chain solutions to increase equipment availability by at least 15% and reduce annual maintenance costs by an estimated $3 million across its Australian operations. Pilot testing is scheduled to begin in September 2026, with full-scale production deployment anticipated in early 2028.
